Women, come out on Saturday, October 17, from 2-4 p.m. for friendship-sharing, snacks, prayer, and encouragement as a Christian woman at our October encouragement event.

You can make a big difference in the lives of children and families here in the Bridgeport area, the US, and overseas by giving generously to our World Hunger Offering that runs from October 4-November 15. Half of your gift will feed the hungry through the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, the other half will be used in the US and around the world through Global Hunger Relief. Both of these are Christian organizations and serve in the name of Christ. 

“I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat.” – Jesus (Matthew 25:35) Your gift feeds others in Jesus’ name.

We’re headed to Plasko’s Farm in Trumbull on October 18 to see who can get through the corn maze the fastest. It’s no easy job, so we’ll have an award for the team that clocks the fastest time, and a consolation prize for the slowest team.

Besides the fun at the corn maze, you can get a hay ride (free for those with a corn maze ticket, or $2.00 each), pick a pumpkin, enjoy cider and donuts that the church supplies, and visit their creamery for farm made fresh ice cream, apple cider donuts, and more.

It’s a great event to invite a friend or neighbor to attend with you.

All women are invited to attend our Women’s Bible Study every Thursday morning. Coffee and snacks are available beginning at 9:30 a.m.. Bible study and prayer runs from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon.

Bible Study meets in the Fellowship Hall on the lower level of the building. Access is through the rear door.

Rehearsals for the Christmas play will be after worship on the days indicated. Be sure your group will be rehearsing each week.

Stop by the check-In computer on the entryway counter every Sunday to check in your child or children for Sunday School and Kids’ Church. If it is your first time to do this, you’ll need to enter your information as well as you child or children’s names. Once done you can check in and you’ll get labels for each child and one for you for when you go to pick your child or children up.

This important step helps protect you child and allows our workers to contact you in an emergency.

In addition to Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday our preschoolers and children have Kids’ Church during the 10:30 worship hour. They start off in big church and then go to Preschool or Children’s Church during the service. 

We love kids and want them to have a fun and age appropriate worship and learning time or their own while you are enjoying worship. We’re ready for you and your children this Sunday.

The Sermon of the Mount is the most important sermon in history. Preached by Jesus, it teaches us the pursuits, behaviors, values, and promises of the Christian life (and much more!). The Beatitudes, being salt and light, “turn the other cheek”, the Lord’s Prayer, “seek first the kingdom of God…”, and building our house on the rock are memorable parts of this great sermon.

Adults will begin a 13-week study of this fascinating and endlessly meaningful and practical sermon in Adult Sunday morning Bible Study on September 6 at 9:00 a.m. Come out for the very first study even if you’ve never been in Bible study before!

Know What You Believe by Paul Little is a best-selling book aimed at explaining basic Christian beliefs to teens and young adults. Teens will start a study of the book on September 6 in Sunday morning Youth Sunday School at 9:00 a.m.

Every teen who participates will receive a copy of this valuable book for use now and for future reference and study.

We are reading though the Old Testament books of history (minus 1 & 2 Chronicles) a chapter a day (with a couple of two chapter-a-day readings thrown in) during 2026.
