The word passion at one time meant 'suffering'. The term 'the passion of Jesus' referred to the suffering of Jesus on Good Friday. Passion also means emotion or strong feeling. What were the emotions of Jesus, the strong feelings of Jesus on that fateful day? We don't have a lot to go on except the words Jesus spoke that day, but they tell us a lot, and they reveal his true passion as he went to and as he hung on the cross.
